Stef's Events is an Event
Planning business located in Streamwood, IL. (see About Us) We have served private, corporate and nonprofit clients since 1999. We provide event planning services from theme development through thank you's, and everything inbetween. Our client's preferences vary drastically and we customize
an event plan for each individual to meet those needs. Our services range from mere organization and coordination of vendors to hands-on services, including
catering, decorating, design and assembly of centerpieces, party favors, invitations, programs, gift baskets, addressing services,
set up, clean up, serving, and so much more.
Our Event Planning Assistants and Apprentices help in every aspect of the planning service,

We are currently hiring for TWO POSITIONS:
Wedding & Event Planner Apprenticeships available
Our Appretices do everything that an Event Planning Assistant does - please read that
description. In addition to these, you will learn about invitations, proper addressing, wedding etiquette, traditions, vendor
relations, contracts, churches, banquet halls, and other event and wedding planning essentials.
Apprentices will receive a short evaluation after
each main event, but no less than once a month. For critical purposes, the evaluation will highlight items of strong skill
as well as items in which the apprentice needs more practice.
Apprenticeship periods are for 6 months or 120 hours, whichever is greater, unless otherwise required
by your instructor or future employer. Apprentices successfully completing 120 hours may apply for an Event Planning
Assistant position with us.
Apprentices are encouraged, but not required, to complete an Event or Wedding Planner Certification course to receive
nationally-recognized certification. In addition to this certification, there are other event planning courses in which you
may take. (Registration in any course or program is at your expense.) If you receive a certification prior to completing your
apprenticeship - we will increase your wage by $1 for the duration.
Appretices completing the 6-month or 120 hour program will receive a letter of recommendation highlighting
their accomplishments and education while working with Stef's Events, as well as any certifications received during that period.

Part-time / Flexible Wedding & Event Planner Assistant
Duties include, but
not limited to:
Assembly of decorations, centerpieces, party
favors
Minor catering assistance prior to events, as well as
on site
On-site event management assistance
Vendor verifications
Event
Set Up / Clean Up
On-site servers/clean up
Other duties as required by the client's order
These would include hands-on work as well
as possible phone and/or email organization. Phone/email work could be done from your location/residence. Other work would
require travel to our location in Streamwood for work prior to an event and travel to the event location for day-of assistance.
WAGES
Our
Event Planning Assistants are paid at two rates, depending on services and locations.
Pay rate is based on the dollar amount and paid by the quarter hour.
Pre-event
Planning Services - at our office in Streamwood, IL
$15
per hour
On-site (event location) Services
$20 per hour, minimum
of 4-hours pay
Mileage may apply.
